Ten Things to do near The Old Telephone Exchange

 
 
 
 
1. Walk to the Mamhead Obelisk and take in the panoramic view over to Exmouth and beyond. An easy stroll from the car park. Suitable for wheelchairs.

3. Play Golf at Starcross a par 3, 9 hole course with views over the estuary, and plenty of water hazards.

 5. Have a Pub Lunch at the Anchor Inn, Cockwood.

7. Go shopping in Exeter.  Catch the train or bus from Starcross.

8. Visit Powderham Castle Six hundred years of history are contained within the walls of one of England's oldest family homes. Also small garden centre, deer park, and tea rooms.

9. Find the Nobody's Inn at Doddiscombleigh. With the low ceilings, blackened beams, inglenook fireplace, antique furniture and timeless atmosphere of unspoilt old world charm that you would expect from a 17th century inn. 10. Take a train ride on the  Brunel Atmospheric Railway line to Paignton
and beyond. The line follows the coast with spectacular views throughout.  From Paignton you can travel on to Dartmouth.
